6 Days Of Philippine Visit To Kenya.

At 07.25 am the plane to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, on the beats of the Isukuti dancers who were waiting to welcome the guests on board. It was momentous. With the jet lag all forgotten and the body willing to melt into the hard beat, that Kendirita and Come Travel Kenya’s drummers were creating.

It was welcome to Kenya in style.

Rapports were created with our guests from the Philippines and they were escorted to their Rosa for a smooth ride through the city to The Holiday Inn Hotel.

The Holiday Inn is a haven of serenity. It is also an explosion of Kenyan Cuisines. The Kenyan Tea, various coffees, samosa, Barbecue Sausages, Bhajias and refreshing juice, pressed from the fresh fruits from Kenyan farms rocked away the exhaustion of travelling. At this point and time, the Guests were allowed to freshen up, rest and enjoy the peace of Holidayinn Hotel.

Lunch was later served at Barbeque Nation. You know Kenya is famous for the roast meat. A variety of Philipino Dishes was also served – we are the kind of hosts that allow you a slice of home away from home you see? `

The City of Nairobi is a delight in the afternoon, into the evening and nights come to life. A tour around the city was epic. Talk of visiting the Kenyan Parliament, delving into the rich historical moments of Kenya, walking on the streets, and enjoying the sunset at Jivanjee Park. Nairobi is a City with Parks at the CBD – isn’t that awesome? A prayer at the Holy Family Basilica was a welcome idea to end the first day.

The second day was warm and sunny. All roads were headed to The Ark Lodge. The Ark Lodge is an animal paradise. The scenery is epic and the environment is so therapeutic. But before our guests could soak in the Beauty of The Ark Lodge, they had to stop at the Africana curio shop to buy some souvenirs.

Lunch at The Ark was epic – Beef, Pork, lamb, tasty chicken, rice and Sautéed Potatoes were served, not to mention a variety of soups.

In the evening, the hosts at Ark Lodge took the guests through the history of the lodge. You must hear it yourself- it is a beautiful story. Come Travel Kenya can bring you here. Did I mention the starry night at the Ark Lodge? This can only be explained through experience.

The roads on the Third Day were leading to Baringo! Did you know Baringo is the home of the second president of Kenya? It is a beautiful place. The folding hills that spill out of the sky, the large lakes that spit geysers and hot springs are worth betting on. Let us talk about the road trip first:

Before rolling out of the city, our guests were given time to buy a few things from Curio shops located on the outskirts of the city. The roads trundled down the rift valley to Thomson Falls Lodge for a steamy and misty experience at the waterfalls. You don’t want to hear about the epiphanies that our guests got at the falls. This is a place you want to come and think, then write, paint or do some deep photography. Come Travel Kenya, got you on this already.

The long drive to Baringo was filled with escapades, sightseeing and photography sessions. Crossing the Equator was exciting and many souvenirs were bought. Interacting with the Tugens was enlightening for the guests. Philipines arrived at Bogoria Spa at 4:00 p.m. The sunset at Bogoria lifted the exhaustion. The herbal goat soup was the therapy the guests needed. The warm swimming pool, and later bird watching and geysers. A full-course dinner was served and a warm night followed.

The fifth day was dedicated to a drive to Maasai Mara. You have probably heard of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The Wild was extreme. Ever heard of the sausage tree? It is in Maasai Mara. We cannot explain the excitement that ensued upon encountering Buffaloes, lions, and cheetahs. Interacting with the Maasai people in the villages, singing and dancing with them, and sharing the Nyama Choma, is what created the best memories for our guests. The night spent in the wild was definitely memorable.

The Six-day Safari came to an end on the sixth day. The drive back to Nairobi was loaded with immense Nostalgia.

The last Lunch was served at Fogo Gaucho in Westland. Our guests had a chance to interact with the Kendirita and Come Travel Kenya crew before heading to the airport to catch their 6. 00 p.m. flight back to the Philippines.

Come Travel Kenya is here to give you extreme adventure. Contact us for several days of extreme safari and we will plan it for you. Do you have any plans for December yet?
